Charlie and Deacon had a bumpy road to being together, but they were clearly better together than apart.

Luckily, I understood Deacon and his motivations (though I didn't like them one little bit), so I still love him. More than Charlie or any other character. Which is ironic because while reading Show Me How, I got most angry at him. He and Graham were hilarious mother hens in To the Stars and I was happy to hear we'd get a story for him.

As for Deacon, I'd always thought he was cool. Being inside her head, reading her thoughts, motivations, and SINCERITY made me like her. That opinion changed real quick once starting Show Me How, however. I didn't hate her or anything, but I didn't particularly like her either. I'll admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Charlie before this book. It was such an intense reading experience and I was hooked through every single second.Ĭharlie and Deacon were two flawed characters who seriously needed to be together.
